Ulquiorra 2nd Release Complete!
Ulquiorra is finally done! Well, technically he was done around 2 weeks ago, except I only just had the time to put together a photography setup that allows for his bloody 28″ wingspan.

DIY Recycled doll case
…though technically this just recycles a Bratz doll case, hey, I got it for $2 at the flea market. Can’t get a gallon of milk for that.
Using contact paper and decoupage, I remodeled a Bratz Angels case. This case has a hard shell, which is awesome, but it’s covered with bratz artwork, and that [...]

Eos Review
2 things arrived today early this morning by FedEx: A computer part to fix some wonkiness I’ve had lately (thus the no updates in a while) and Eos, the first pullip doll released in a limited edition steampunk set.
Unfortunately, her awesomeness was tarnished by the fact her factory face-up had streaks and smudges in the [...]

Koi Custom Complete
She’s been popping up in other pictures and is now on display at Animadness, but she is officially ‘for sale’
Koi is an extensive customizing project started quite a few months ago, and finished in time to debut at PUDDLE this year. Now she’s back from PUDDLE and I can safely put her up for [...]

Animadness
I am geographically very lucky for multiple reasons, but today the topic is THE doll store. I live about an hour away from what might be the biggest store-front pullip retailer in the US, an anime store called Animadness in Waltham, MA. The prices are about the same or lower than most online [...]

PUDDLE 2010
PUDDLE 2010 is the biggest Pullip-related doll gathering in the US. It gets a little bigger each year, and this year I conned my husband into a vacation to Chicago and attended.

Dolly Originality
With all the people in the world who make and have pullips, the issue of copying comes up a lot.
Everyone has their own definition of copying. Mine is pretty lax: The doll has to be obviously alike in multiple ways, excusing painting ability/differences. There are a finite number of wigs/eyes out there, and [...]

Koi, formerly “Head I”
Spending most of my long weekend on a customizing binge, I did manage to finish Koi, who will be officially debuting at PUDDLE, and then her pictures will go online after. I’ve been wanting to try a cyber-punk geisha type doll for years (my ‘want to try’ custom list is very, very long) and [...]

Mir the White
Mir is probably my favorite release from the last 2 years. She’s gorgeous. And.. gorgeous. Also very, very pale. For those of us who can’t stand the stock bodies (or those poor folks who have stock bodies that broke), this causes a problem.
…but it doesn’t have to. Warning: Doll Nudity Ahead

WIP: Ulquiorra 2nd Release
My latest project is pretty ambitious:
Ulquiorra by himself is a pretty advanced custom. His head is extensively resculpted and he has a full body repaint. But EVERYBODY wants Ulquiorra, so I made a counteroffer to someone who’s been trying to buy him off of me, to commission a Ulquiorra 2nd release form instead. [...]
