Requiem Art

This custom was put on the back burner while I frantically prepared for PUDDLE, but since I got back if I’ve been customizing, he’s been what I’ve been working on.

Painting on a pre-painted surface is terribly slow. It’s a much slower process than a normal surface because any errors need to be fixed while the paint is still wet, or you risk taking up the paint beneath when you remove it. That gives me a 1-2 minute window, max. Seeing as how no single feature ever takes that little time (that’s like… an eyelash or two) I have to work very, very slowly and make sure both sides of the face keep their symmetry at every step.

Thankfully, that part is done! Ulquiorra’s base body/head are pretty much complete. I may tweak here and there, but he’s done. All that’s left is bits, wings, horns, furry loincloth (what else do you call it…?) tail.
