Requiem Art

Fans of the series have been really happy to see it back, while the rest of you are probably going “…what?”

So here’s a short explanation of “AMP” as it’s commonly called. AMP has been going on since late 2004. The early stories have no dollhouses and very few props, and I’ve gone through 4 cameras since I first started doing chapters, so the photography has gradually improved as well. It IS an ongoing story, so while you can just drop in any time, it’s generally best read from the beginning.

What’s it about? Dolls, of course. Well, not really. See, when I got my first dolls I got Ash, a Nero doll, who is a (mad) scientist, except as the story goes on you might start to think she’s really the only sane one. Then there’s her friend Valentine, the only good doll out of… more than 30 by this time. Nightshade wants to rule the world, except she thinks she can learn to do that by reading self-help books and playing world domination video game simulators. Friends and family include an inept FBI linguist who thinks she can become a full agent by taking in Ash & Nightshade, a serial killing black-widow lolita, a male stripper, an assassin from the future, an android with a Pinocchio complex, a Djinn, 2 British mercenaries (one of whom loves dressing like a nun) and…. a whole lot of other people.

Did I mention the sets for the story include a porn studio, prison, laboratory and armory?

So yeah, there’s dolls, but there’s not much in the way of say, shopping, makeup, or romance.  There is a lot of sarcasm, black humor, plotting, and craziness.   If that appeals to you, you might want to check out some of the first chapters:

Chapter 1: Organ Harvesting (in which we find out how Ash gets the body parts for her lab experiments.)
Chapter 2: Santa Visits (in which Nightshade convinces Ash to help her hold up Santa Claus, because it’s the only way they’ll get presents.)
Not too far after that you’ll get to such chapters as “Naked Midget Wrestling” and “Man-Whore“
