Mir the White

Mir is probably my favorite release from the last 2 years. She’s gorgeous. And.. gorgeous. Also very, very pale. For those of us who can’t stand the stock bodies (or those poor folks who have stock bodies that broke), this causes a problem.

Mir

…but it doesn’t have to. Warning: Doll Nudity Ahead

And the award for 'palest' goes to...
Here’s Mir with the former #1 palest, makes obitsu pale appear tan doll, Neo Noir. Yeesh, she makes her look almost tan, doesn’t she? And Neo Noir is pale enough that any non-pullip body is going to be horribly obvious. Therefore, Mir is only going to really pass unless you want it to look like she has full face paint.

The NEW award for Palest goes to...
About a year later, the vampire set of dolls came out. While you could steal one of their bodies for your broken Mir, the vampires are not the same color either (and you’d still be stuck with a head with no matching body). The vampires are the color of white candle wax, slightly translucent. Mir is the color of milk, more of a natural white than a bleached white.

Ever heard the saying “Where there’s a will, there’s a way”? I sort of agree with it, but “Where there’s a will, knowledge, experience, and resources there’s a way” doesn’t have the same zing. In this case, it was more of a “Where there’s a will, a hard bust obitsu body, and a selection of over 100 shades of spraypaint to choose from, there’s a way” In this case, the shade you want is NOT white, it is Krylon Fusion’s Dover White.
